This manifestation grew out of the pain of losing a dear friend. Sylvia Rita Bracamonte left this world on March 20, 2020. Her absence is felt by so many of us, but she reminded us all of the importance of using our voices. This work reflects the vision of late night talks of education, survival and liberation.
While this page may reflect mostly myself in this foundational stage, this is by no means a reflection of the many individuals that have contributed to where we are currently or where we will go.

Personal Bio
Raven Elisabeth Deverux
Founder
Raven Deverux returned to school in order to make sense of the struggle faced in life by certain communities and to use personal experience to help others currently facing obstacles. Helping others through better understanding personal trauma was the objective and academia was the path to do so. A two-time drop out, both high school and cosmetology, Raven started a PhD program at UCLA in the Fall of 2019 after graduating with honors from UC Berkeley. The journey hasn't been easy by any stretch. Community with other activist scholars has been critical to this journey. Let's build together!
